Bay Area Humanities Hub (bay-area-human.vercel.app) is a volunteer-run community media platform providing cultural event information for the Bay Area Chinese-speaking community. We do not offer user accounts, require registration, or actively collect personal identifiers such as names or email addresses.

We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to collect anonymized, aggregated usage statistics (page views, loading performance) to improve the site. This data contains no personal identifiers. The site is hosted on Vercel, whose servers keep standard access logs (such as IP addresses) for security and operations.

We use the Google Ads conversion tag (Google tag) to measure visits from our own ads. This tag may set cookies in your browser. You can manage ad personalization at Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com) or block cookies in your browser. The site itself serves no third-party advertising.

The event map's "nearby" feature reads your browser location only after you explicitly grant permission. Your location is used on your device solely to filter nearby events; we never store, upload, or share it. You can revoke the permission in your browser at any time.

The site integrates the following third-party services, each processing data under its own privacy policy: Vercel (hosting and anonymous analytics), Google Ads (conversion measurement), Google Calendar (embedded event calendar), Supabase (events and organizations database, storing public event information only), and OpenStreetMap / Nominatim (map tiles and address search; search queries are sent to their servers). Please review those providers' policies for details.

We maintain no database of visitor personal data ourselves. Anonymous statistics and server logs are retained by the third-party services above under their own retention policies. Event and organization information displayed on the site comes from public sources or the organizers themselves.

The site is intended for a general audience, is not directed at children under 13, and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
